Product Details

The Bench Platform Load Cell SP15 is ideal to use in bench scales, counting scales and grocery scales and can operate in both industrial scales as well as in filling, dosing and packaging machines.

Thanks to its triple beam design, it has a high natural frequency delivering a fast response in dynamic applications. The Bench Platform Load Cell SP15 has an integrated overload screw, which reliably protects the load cell against damage if excessive load is applied.

The Bench Platform Load Cell SP15 clever design ensures that loads are measured accurately even if the load is placed off-centre of the platform for example in the corner of the platform.  

To construct a platform scale the Bench Platform Load Cell is mounted between two steel or aluminium plates up to 350 mm square (up to 30kg 400 x 400mm, over 30kg 350 x 350mm).  Once the bottom plate is secured to the threaded holes in the underside of the load cell (cable entry end) and the top plate to the threaded holes on the upper face (opposite cable entry end), the load cell then has to connected to a suitable display or readout.

The SP15 Bench Platform Load Cell can be supplied with an optional ATEX II 2G EEx ia IIC T4 certificate for use in hazardous gas areas – Zone 1 & 2.

The Bench Platform Load Cell is fitted with a 6 core shielded cable as standard. Special cables and lengths are available on request.
For additional sealing, the model SP15 Bench Platform Load Cell can be provided with optional Sylgard protection
